Mamo TCV Advocates Attends Ringing of the Bell Ceremonies at the Malta Stock Exchange

Mikiel Calleja, Laura Spiteri, and Martina Bonnici attended the ringing of the bell ceremonies for Agora Estates plc and Camilleri Finance plc at the Malta Stock Exchange. Held on the 2 April 2024, the ringing of the bell ceremony for Agora Estates plc, a first time issuer, marked its successful listing on the Malta Stock Exchange’s Official List. Agora Estates plc issued €12 million 5.8% secured Bonds 2036 on the Official List as part of a €21 million bond issuance programme. Malta Top Ranked on the Cape Town Convention Compliance Index Q1/2024

In its reporting for the first quarter of 2024, Malta has once again been top ranked on the Cape Town Convention Compliance Index. Malta came first in Europe and second worldwide on the Index, with a top score of 95 on 100. Malta’s compliance with the Cape Town Convention (CTC) has been ranked as Very High. DSA Update: Maltese Implementing Law, Including New Registration Obligations, Now in Effect

The EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) (the “DSA”) has been implemented into Maltese law by virtue of the Digital Services (Designation and Enforcement) Order, Subsidiary Legislation 418.05, (the “Order”) which came into force on 12th March 2024. The Order designates the Malta Communications Authority (“MCA”) as the Digital Services Coordinator for Malta. This role, created by the DSA, tasks the MCA with ensuring that intermediary service providers established in Malta comply with their obligations under the DSA.
