MFSA Issues Circular on Qualified Electronic Signatures

In a circular dated the 15th of November 2022, the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) confirmed that electronic signatures which are done with a ‘qualified electronic signature’ shall be accepted by the MFSA. Participants are attendees of Teen Klabb, an NGO set up with the aim of bringing together adolescents and young adults through the organisation of activities, held in a safe and secure environment, that integrate faith and learning. Deadline for Third Country Personal Data Transfers: EU Standard Contractual Clauses

On 27th June 2021, the European Commission unveiled the new set of EU Standard Contractual Causes (‘SCCs’) that are to be used in instances when personal data are to be transferred from the EU/EEA to a third country.
