Clarice Debono

Clarice Debono is a trainee lawyer within the Corporate and M&A Department. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2024, with a dissertation entitled, “The Defunct Procedure under the Companies Act: a Critical Analysis of Article 325 and the Practical Process Thereof”, and subsequently obtained her Master of Advocacy in 2025.

Clarice joined Mamo TCV Advocates in 2023 as a legal trainee and has gained experience across a range of practice areas. She now primarily focuses on commercial & corporate law, property and inheritance matters, the corporate aspects of aviation and has experience in insurance litigation.

EU ‘28th Regime’ Explained: A New Framework for Company Incorporation in Europe

On the 18 March 2026, the European Commission (‘the Commission’) announced a new and harmonised corporate legal regime, ‘EU Inc.’ touted as the ‘28th regime’. It is the European Union’s (‘EU’) response to fragmentation faced by companies registered in EU countries, caused by divergent national corporate regulations and the absence of sufficiently harmonised EU-level rules.
