On the 4th of December 2024, the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) published a Circular addressed to all market participants falling within the scope of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 on market abuse (“MAR”). Held on the 2 April 2024, the ringing of the bell ceremony for Agora Estates plc, a first time issuer, marked its successful listing on the Malta Stock Exchange’s Official List. This proposed Act aims to implement provisions of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 on European crowdfunding service providers for business and it provides for the establishment of a regulatory framework for crowdfunding service providers for business, including the organisation, authorisation and supervision of such crowdfunding service providers.
