Mamo TCV Advocates have announced the appointment of Claude Micallef-Grimaud and Simon Pullicino as partners with the firm with effect from 1st January 2020.

Dr Micallef-Grimaud joined the firm in 2008 as an associate and currently forms part of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) and Intellectual Property (IP) departments. Dr Micallef-Grimaud’s main practice area is privacy law with a focus on data protection, where he is widely considered as one of the leading practitioners in the field. He also represents local and international clients in general civil and commercial matters and is a visiting lecturer and examiner at the University of Malta. He has also published a number of academic papers both locally and abroad.

Dr Pullicino joined the firm in 2009 as an associate and currently forms part of the firm’s Banking & Finance and Corporate Law departments. His main practice areas include asset management & securities, banking and corporate finance, insolvency and debt restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and general commercial law. In recent years he has specialised in corporate insolvency law, having authored a number of publications on the subject. He has also previously lectured at the University of Malta on the subject of corporate insolvency and winding up at postgraduate level.

The firm’s managing partner, Dr Michael Psaila said: “Claude and Simon have been with the firm since they graduated and they have grown to become highly regarded practitioners in their respective practice areas.
