• Advising telecommunications operators on mergers and acquisitions and handling the entire legal process from start to finish 

• Advising telecommunications operators on licensing and authorisation, interconnection, VoIP, carrier selection, numbering (including number portability), frequencies, universal service obligations, call termination charges, bundling of services and on EU/competition matters 

 

• Drafting and negotiating a range of telecommunications agreements as well as terms and conditions for a range of wholesale and retail services 

 

• Negotiating with regulators on the drafting of new telecommunications legislation and related regulations 

 

Privacy 

• Advising clients on privacy issues in a range of sectors including ones relating to telecommunications, media, insurance, aviation, maritime, travel, leisure, banking and pharmaceuticals 

 

• Negotiating with regulators on the drafting of industry Codes of Conduct for specific sectors 

 

• Carrying out legal due diligence exercises on behalf of foreign clients seeking to acquire or merge with companies based in Malta and on behalf of foreign multinational groups of companies having a presence in Malta 

 

Media 

• Negotiating media rights agreements between content providers and media companies 

 

• Advising television operators on legal and regulatory issues, such as ones relating to licensing, advertising, digital rights management and piracy matters 

 

Technology 

 

• Drafting and negotiating a range of IT-related agreements including software licensing and distribution agreements, e-commerce agreements  

 

• Carrying out legal due diligence exercises on behalf of foreign clients seeking to acquire or merge with IT companies based in Malta and on behalf of foreign multinational groups of companies having a presence in Malta
