COMMERCIAL YACHT REGISTRATION

• No tax levied on any income derived from the use of such Commercial Yacht;
• Exemption from payment of VAT on the value of the yacht, provided that such yacht is used for commercial purposes (chartering) on the high seas;
• VAT refunds on purchases made (e.g equipment, fuel, provisions);
• Possibility of the exempt importation of the Commercial Yacht into the European Union using Malta as a point of entry;
• Actual certification of the vessel as a Commercial Yacht is indicative of the fact that the yacht is fit for commercial chartering.

• A declaration of ownership (which we can prepare on your behalf),
• An application to register the vessel as a Commercial Yacht (which can prepare on your behalf),
• An application for a radio license (which we can prepare on your behalf)
• A copy of the international tonnage certificate,
• the International Load Line Certificate (if the yacht is longer than 24 mtrs in load line length)
• the International Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate (if yacht is over 300 GT)
• International Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate (if yacht is over 400 GT)
• International Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate, ISM Certificates, ISPS Certificates (if yacht is over 500 GT)
• Inspection Report prepared by a surveyor who is recognized by the Malta Maritime Authority, by virtue of which is stated that the yacht is eligible for registration under the Commercial Yacht registry, in view of the fact that it is compliant with the Code of Practice in relating to the Construction, equipment and operation of a Commercial Yacht.
