ASSIGNMENT OF PATENTS IN MALTA

Documents Required 
 
 
The documents required for the recordal of an assignment of a registered patent are the following: 
 
 
1. a Deed of Assignment with the signatures thereon attested by a notary and then duly legalised by a diplomatic or consular representative of Malta or with the Apostille according to the Hague Convention; and 
 
 
2. a Form of Authorisation and Statement of Address for Service: This must be completed and drawn in our favour by the assignee, with the signatures thereon attested by a notary; the document must be either legalised by a diplomatic or consular representative of Malta or with the Apostille on the reverse side according to the Hague Convention.
